10 Best Spider-Man Villains We've Yet To See In Movies
1. Hobgoblin
When the first major live action Spider-Man movie hit theatres in 2002, the villain chosen to go up against the titular hero was Norman Osborn's Green Goblin.
This established the angry green lad as the Spider-Man bad guy, but what most viewers didn't know was that another goblin-based character was also available.
In 1983, almost three decades after Green Goblin first appeared in the comics, the Hobgoblin burst onto the scene.
Born out of a desire not to overuse Osborn's character, Hobby was created as an heir to the Goblin name. He came equipped with all the same weapons and superhuman powers of his predecessors, but with a much scarier look and demeanour.
Hobgoblin was famously voiced by Mark Hamill in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, but he's never properly appeared on film. Harry Osborn's persona in Spider-Man 3 is technically called Hobgoblin, but he's a completely different character to the one fans know and love.
A fully fledged Hobgoblin story would make for an amazing film featuring any version of the webslinger. Film fans might be a little Goblin-ed out, but this ghoulish figure would definitely reignite their passion for murderous flying weirdos.
