As the excellent Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse films have made clear, there are many different versions of Spider-Man across many different dimensions.
One man who is determined to take every single one of them down is Morlun.
A psychic vampire who first appeared back in 2001, Morlun's biggest claim to fame is that he actually killed Spider-Man. And not just any Spider-Man; the one from Earth-616!
That's the main one!
Though the death is eventually revealed to be temporary - something about Peter Parker shedding his skin and becoming a new version of himself, it's all a bit weird - the fact that he was able to come that close to finishing Spidey off shows just how powerful Morlun is.
As well as being super strong and from another dimension, Morlun is also extremely mysterious.
With the Spider-Verse now fair game, a universe-hopping, ultra-powerful vampire seems like the perfect big bad for multiple spider-people to go up against.
