10 Best Uses Of Toys In Movie History

2. Chucky

Good Guy doll Chucky promised to be our "friend to the end". He wasn't kidding. The Child's Play range of slasher movies hit the shelves in the Eighties and is still leaping off the production line today. The pint-sized maniac sent himself up even further in later films, coming full circle in 2013 with a return to his gritty (if ridiculous) roots via Curse Of Chucky. The idea behind the poseable pal's reign of terror couldn't be more simple. Mass murderer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) has been peppered with police bullets. It's the end for him, right? Wrong - luckily he's within possession range of a popular toy line, and promptly inserts his soul into a Chucky doll with a nebulous and impromptu voodoo ceremony. The anti hero's jet black antics counter the creative slayings with many a stab at the corporate world, especially his manufacturer's cynical attempts to resurrect the character after the stain Ray left on the portfolio. Chapter 7 is coming out to play soon.
