10 Big 2018 Movies You Should Be Worried About

Reason To Be Worried: Persistent behind the scenes trouble.

It's always worrying when you hear that a project has suffered a significant amount of behind-the-scenes trouble, and Bad Boys For Life, the third instalment in the action-comedy series, falls firmly in that camp.

Initially, Joe Carnahan was set to write and direct the threequel, but earlier this year, he left the director's chair, with several sources indicating that a new writer may be brought onboard too.

The film's release date has also been pushed several times, moving from 2017 to early 2018 and finally settling on November of next year, though considering the movie now lacks a director and may even need a new writer, that could easily change again.

Or, the project could be rushed out in order to meet that date. Or, it could continue festering in development hell until it's scrapped altogether. Sony doesn't seem to have a firm grip on proceedings, and the messy road Bad Boys For Life is taking to the big-screen could very well be reflected in the finished product.

That's if it ever actually comes together.

It's also been an incredibly long wait since Bad Boys 2 (2003), and if Zoolander 2, Dumb And Dumber 2, Die Hard 4 and Indiana Jones 4 taught us anything, it's that a lengthy time gap can be a big mistake.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
