10 Big Actors Who Are Skipping Movies In 2018
9. Ellen Page
Next Movie: The Cured (TBA)
Unlike Keaton, the last few years haven't been too kind to Ellen Page. After a great start to the decade with roles in Inception and X-Men: Days Of Future Past, her career is currently on a bit of a downward spiral after the atrocious Flatliners remake graced our screens late last year.
The actress also hasn't appeared in a well-received blockbuster since that X-Men sequel, so you'd be forgiven if you thought she'd vanished from the movie scene entirely.
She's still been acting, but it's been mostly low-budget dramas and festival-favourites, and while she has received critical acclaim for her performances in some of these movies, their obscurity has limited her exposure.
Page's future looks quite murky, too. Some of those aforementioned festival-favourites have yet to be given a wide release (there is a possibility that The Cured is given a surprise release this year, but nothing is confirmed), so unless they get pushed out by a distributor, they'll continue gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.
Plus, her lone upcoming IMDB credit - Robodog - is almost impossible to read up on, with official information about the project proving annoyingly elusive. So it's unclear when we'll see Page next - but expect her to pop up in 2019 or 2020.
