10 Big Horror Movie Reveals You Can Spot Early (If You Really Look)

The Final Destination as a whole is a franchise full of indicators of what's to come. After all, this is a series based around the eventual deaths of plentiful people in ways reminiscent of how they were previously meant to perish in a premonition.

By the time of the Final Destination 5, though, the franchise gave us a whole other level of teases for the reveal that was waiting at the end of the picture.

Delivered as a straight-up sequel, seemingly taking place in and around the timeline of its release in 2011, the major head-spinner of Final Destination 5 is that it was actually a prequel picture - with the film's close dovetailing into the opening airplane explosion of the very first movie.

To give credit where credit's due, this was quite the genius swerve, yet it was a swerve that the film had actually suggested far, far earlier than anyone had realised.

One particular tease was the Olivia character being compared to singer Lisa Loeb. Loeb shot to global stardom in 1994 with her Stay single, then sold a bunch of records for the years leading up to the 2000 release of the first Final Destination.

Even before this, Final Destination 5 featured an early act announcement for all pagers to be turned off. Then there was main character Sam detailing how he wanted to intern at the upmarket Le Cafe Miro... which was the same restaurant three of the first film's characters dine in.
