10 Big Movie Franchises Chris Pratt Can Try Next

4. Robin Hood

There is a lot of talk about 'shared movie universes' these days. Marvel are doing it, DC / Warner Bros are finally following suit. From Ghostbusters to King Arthur, the latest craze is for solo character movies and then a team up 'Avengers style'. One of the more bizarre rumours out there is Sony's desire to create a Robin Hood shared universe. Presumably every character in Sherwood Forest would get a solo outing before Robin Hood unites them together as his 'merry men'. Will Scarlet, Little John, Maid Marian, Friar Tuck. It doesn't quite the same ring to it as Iron Man, Captain America and Wonder Woman.

If this really is going to happen the Sony will need to a) extensively flesh out the supporting characters and b) get a leading man with enough charisma to headline the franchise. With the rumoured attempt to go less Ridley Scott-style Gritty and more Errol Flynn swashbuckler-style of adventure, Chris Pratt could be the perfect man to take on the mantle of Robin Of Loxley.

With a jolly laugh, a cheeky wink and the skill with a bow, Pratt's version of Robin Hood could be a lot of fun. It is hard not imagine him wearing a green feathered cap, fists at his waist, filled with rambunctious enthusiasm as he stands in the road ready to take on the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham's men. It is a role he was born to play.
