When Jared Leto was announced as a new version of the Joker, it got people talking in 2016. In the lead-up to release, Warner Bros took full advantage of this story thread to push the film to the masses, promising a new and different take on the wildly recognisable character.

Every time the clown prince of crime shows up on the big screen, there's a big discussion that unfolds around how he'll be portrayed and how it will compare to previous efforts.
