4. Why Did Carol Punch An Old Lady With Zero Context?

Yes, comic book fans know that Carol is almost certainly punching a smiling old lady on a metro train because she's actually a Skrull impostor, but to drop this in the trailer with zero context or explanation is pretty damn weird.

After all, the hardcore Marvel contingent only accounts for a fraction of those precious box office bucks, and the vast majority of the people who go see this film will have little-to-no knowledge of the character and her lore.

To craft a fairly serious, earnest trailer, and throw in an isolated shot of Carol clocking an old lady is, well, a bit silly. There's no hint at all at the movie's antagonists being shape-shifters, so to the casual observer it seems pretty tonally jarring.

The next trailer will surely clear this up, but still, it's a bit of a mistake editing-wise and something that could've been easily remedied with a little more critical thought.
