10 Biggest Blockbuster Movie Disappointments Of 2013

2. R.I.P.D.

R I P D 385521Budget: $130 million Jeff Bridges is easily one of my favorite actors, so it's hard to admit that a movie that he starred in was such a piece of shit but it just was. This Men in Black rip off was a disaster. The plot follows Roy (Jeff Bridges) and Nick (Ryan Reynolds) the newest recruit of the R.I.P.D. Nick becomes Roy's partner in the afterlife. After reading the premise, I should've known better but I can't help myself when it comes to Bridges, the man is a genius. The movie's mixture of humor and drama fall flat. With the exception of Bridges' witty, funny character, the movie still falls short with poor visuals and special effects. Now by no means am I the 'reads the review' guy this should've been one I looked into before dropping $10. Rotten Tomatoes rated it an 11%, an 11%! I mean wow, it doesn't get much worse than that. Now this won't hurt Bridges' career but if Ryan Reynolds continues to make such sh*tty movies, he might be in trouble. As of today, R.I.P.D. is over $70 million away from becoming profitable. The movie lost Universal over 70 MILLION DOLLARS. I think it's safe to say someone got fired for green lighting this movie disaster.
