10 Biggest Characters The MCU Hasn't Used Yet

4. Nova

Doctor Doom
Marvel Comics

If there is any character on this list that really should have debuted in the MCU by now, it's Nova. Created for his own comic book line in 1976, Nova, also known as Richard Rider, is a member of the Nova Corps, a group which may sound familiar to those who have seen Guardians of the Galaxy. The group has a significant presence in the film, though Rider's Nova was missing from the action.

Despite Nova not making an appearance in Guardian's of the Galaxy, it was revealed that there were plans to include him in the film. When asked about the character and his omission from the film by ComicBook.com, Kevin Feige said: "Nova is… if we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board. And you're absolutely right, he was in the earliest drafts of the [Guardians of the Galaxy]."

So, although he was removed from the final film, it seems like Nova is certainly on Marvel's list of characters they want to bring to the big screen. This may be sooner rather than later, as The Cosmic Circus have stated that according to their sources, Marvel wishes to debut Nova in his own Special Presentation on Disney+, after the success of Werewolf by Night.
