Up until this point, the lies we've discussed have been mostly harmless and inoffensive, but Todd LaTourrette's years-long deception turns things up to eleven.

Fans may recognise the actor for playing Skell in an episode of Better Call Saul last year, instantly identifiable due to his prosthetic right arm. LaTourrette has said that his unique appearance helped him get more work, since it made him look "different", and for years, he told people that his injuries were the result of serving in the military. But that wasn't true.

LaTourrette actually cut the arm off himself during a psychotic episode nearly 20 years ago. He stopped taking the medication for his bipolar disorder, and this led to him taking a skil saw and lopping off his own limb. Strangely, his prosthetic arm then helped him land roles in films like The Men Who Stare At Goats (with George Clooney) and indie drama A Bird of the Air, on account of how unique he looked.

He kept up the lie about military service until last year, when he came clean and vowed to help other people who may be struggling with mental illness.
