10 Biggest Lies All Movie Goers Tell Themselves

4. Everyone Will Be Quiet

I know it is a cheap shot, but every time you go to the cinema you tell yourself that people will understand the situation they are in and have entered into an unspoken agreement with everyone else in screen and will keep the noise to a minimum. I am not saying that people will be completely silent throughout; it is understandable that there will be noise during adverts before hand, but just make sure it is kept at an acceptable level during the all important trailers! When it comes to the actual feature though, it is fine to let out an audible gasp during a shocking scene, or a chuckle when a joke tickles the phone and there is nothing wrong with a scream if a scene is actually truly scary. However, the incessant chatter throughout the whole film is just not on. People have paid good money so come see their chosen film and expect other customers to have the decency to at least let them watch it in peace, instead of constantly nattering away a few rows behind. The irony of this situation is the ones who have done all of the talking throughout the movie are now the ones that are asking when happened and when they ask what went on and can I explain it to them "I will look down and whisper "No."
