10 Biggest Missed Opportunities In MCU History

6. Eternals Not Being A Disney+ Series

Eternals is the MCU's first notable miss to date, receiving wildly mixed reviews from critics and underperforming at the box office.

One of the most common complaints about ChloƩ Zhao's superhero epic was that it strained to introduce so many new characters to the audience within a feature film runtime.

Many fans understandably felt that Eternals would've been better served as a Disney+ series consisting of, say, six or eight episodes, providing a wider canvas for these characters to be endeared to audiences.

As it stands, the movie is in a frantic rush to unfurl the backstories of 10 superheroes, none of whom really end up feeling like truly fleshed out entities in their own right.

The film certainly has enough intriguing ideas to fill out a larger format TV series, and by having the band of heroes debut this way, audiences would be fully acquainted with them for a potential movie follow-up.
