After Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice lands next month and we've pored over the madness of Captain America: Civil War, a very different kind of comic book movie will land in our laps at the height of the summer, in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Though far away from the vital world-building of Dawn Of Justice and the upcoming Justice League films, it's still a crucially important film in the DC Extended Universe, in terms of introducing the new Joker along with a whole host of legends from Batman's Rogues Gallery. Though we all want Suicide Squad to be a monstrous success on the level of, say, Guardians Of The Galaxy, it's an extremely challenging property to adapt, and from what we've seen so far, there's more than a hint that not everything is going to work out for the best. From questionable casting to some hints from the trailers along with a little of our own intuition, it seems likely that Suicide Squad has already signed its own death warrant in several key departments.
