Christian Bale was more Patrick Bateman than John Connor on the set of Terminator: Salvation when cinematographer Shane Hurlbut walked into a scene the actor was shooting, leading to one of the most legendary on-set meltdowns of all time.

Bale's tirade begins with a "I want you off the f***ing set you pr**k" and gets more acidic from there. The story goes that Hurlbut twice disrupted the scene before the star went thermonuclear on him, and whether the actor was justified divides opinion.

While most would agree that Bale's reaction was over the top, many have pointed out that the cinematographer should probably have waited for a break in filming before stepping onto the set to “fix a light”.

In any case, both parties seem to have put the incident behind them as they went on to work together for a month or so afterwards. Bale says the matter was completely "resolved" and even praised Hurlbut's "fantastic" work on Salvation.
