5. Tom Sizemore & Val Kilmer (Red Planet)
Some movie shoots are so fraught with tension that they cause friendships to breakdown. Case in point, Tom Sizemore and Val Kilmer's bromance disintegrated following an on-set bust-up during the production of Red Planet.
Kilmer is said to have fallen out with his co-star when he heard the studio had paid to ship his exercise machine to the set, and when the Batman star came out with the douche bag remark “I’m making ten million on this; you’re only making two”, Sizemore responded in the only way appropriate: by hurling a 50-pound weight at Kilmer.
The weight missed its target, so Kilmer was unharmed... until the pair had to film a fight scene together. The producer urged Sizemore not to hit his co-star in the face, so he went with a "knock-down blow" to the chest instead.
The spat got so bad that the duo refused to shoot any further scenes together, forcing director Antony Hoffman to include body doubles in some sequences. Kilmer and Sizemore have since reconciled, but have never made another movie together.
