10 Biggest Movie And TV News This Week (April 5)

8. Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight Lives! Sort Of.

A few months ago the script to Quentin Tarantino's new film, The Hateful Eight, leaked online. That isn't too uncommon in this business, or for the director in particular, whose scripts have been leaking for years. However, this time he took it personally, and not only cancelled the film all together, but sued Gawker for posting it online in the first place. Those of us who were disappointed that Tarantino's new western would never see the light of day can rejoice, because he's going to direct it! Kind of. Instead of filming his script, he's going to cast and direct a live stage reading instead. The live reading will take place on April 24th at 8pm, at the County Museum of Art in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, for the hefty price tag of $200 a pop. So, unfortunately it'll be a pretty exclusive event, and probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. However, maybe if all goes well and people love the live reading, he'll eventually make the movie. A guy can dream, can't he?
