7. Johnny Knoxville And Tony Shalhoub Cast In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reboot

johnnyknoxville600 When this news broke on Thursday I thought it might have been a leftover April Fool's joke, but it turns out that this is absolutely true. Johnny Knoxville (Jackass) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk) will be lending their voices to the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, as Leonardo and Splinter, respectively. Pete Ploszek and Danny Woodburn were providing the voices and motion capture for the characters during production, but according to Deadline their contracts didn't guarantee that their voices would make the final cut. We're not quite sure why they've been replaced, though it could be a matter of star power. Having recognizable actors like Knoxville and Shalhoub may help boost ticket sales more so than Ploszek and Woodburn would have. Now we're just left wondering whether or not the other turtle voice actors will be replaced as well, or what this could mean with the film currently undergoing a few reshoots. I guess we'll just have to sit back and wait until the movie's August 8th release date to find out.
