Variety, American Idol and The X Factor creator, producer, and host Simon Cowell is teaming with Animal Logic (the company that worked on The LEGO Movie) for a feature-length film starring 1930s cartoon icon Betty Boop. The film is described as "a music-driven hybrid animation comedy," and has been in the works for several months now in conjunction with Mark Fleischer, the CEO of Fleischer Studios and owner of the Betty Boop rights. On the project, Cowell said: "Betty is an icon, and one of the biggest stars in the world. I'm thrilled to be working with her. Betty, I've worked with some serious divas but I think you could be the biggest of them all!"
