6. Mockingbird And The Absorbing Man Join Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel was heavily criticized during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s first season for not including enough comic book characters, and are clearly looking to fix that mistake in season two. This week two new guest stars were announced: fan-favorite super spy and future Avenger Mockingbird, and the supervillain The Absorbing Man. Mockingbird, who's also the future wife of Hawkeye in the comics, will be played by Friday Night Lights and G.I. Joe: Retaliation actress Adrianne Palicki, while The Absorbing Man will be played by Teen Wolf and Generation Kill alum Brian Patrick Wade. Wade will appear in the season opener on September 23, while Palicki's character - who won't immediately be an ally to Coulson and co.- will show up in the fifth episode with the option of returning in the future.
