1. Peter O'Toole Passes Away At 81

Otoole Legendary actor Peter O'Toole, who famously found stardom in Lawrence of Arabia in 1962, passed away on Sunday at the age of 81. The 8 time Academy Award nominee died in a hospital in London after suffering from a long-time illness. O'Toole was a cinematic icon, and universally beloved for not only his acting, but his character. He retired from acting last year, saying, "I bid the profession a dry-eyed and profoundly grateful farewell." Our condolences go out to O'Toole's family and friends. In memoriam, WhatCulture writer Stephen Kennedy put together a list of his 5 best roles, which I highly recommend you read here. There we have it, the 10 biggest movie and TV news of the week of Dec. 21! What do you think of the week's stories?
