7. The Americans Returns Feb. 26
The Americans was another well received new show that helped turn 2013 into one of the best years for television in recent memory. Premiering on FX, the show focuses on a husband and wife, played by Kerri Russel and Matthew Rhys, who are Soviet KGB officers posing as Americans in the suburbs of 1980s Washington D.C. The show received a handful of nominations for the Satellite, TCA, and Emmy Awards, winning a few of them, and garnered extremely positive reviews from critics and audiences. The show concluded its first season of 13 episodes in May, and was just given a February 26, 2014 release date and will continue airing in its 10pm ET/PT time slot.
