2. Ant-Man Takes Former Batman Vs. Superman Release Date

Antman Last week Warner Bros. threw fans for a loop when they announced that Batman Vs. Superman would be vacating its July 2015 release date; as the film was given a 10-month delay in order to "fully realize the film's vision." The movie has been moved to May 6, 2016, a spot that has been occupied by an unannounced Marvel Studios film for three years now. As fans are debating who will blink first and leave that spot (if anyone does at all), Marvel took the initiative and took the old BVS spot from WB. Marvel announced Thursday that Ant-Man, which was scheduled for July 31, 2015, has been moved up two weeks and will now arrive on July 17, going head-to-head with Warner Bros.' Peter Pan film from Joe Wright. It's interesting that Marvel has swept in to that spot, which has been a prime slot for DC in the past. Is it an aggressive move? Or simply a bit of a jab at the competing studio? We may never know for sure, but it's an interesting move, nonetheless.
