10. Ridley Scott's Next Project Will Be Another Biblical Epic
20th Century FoxThis week we saw a huge marketing push for Ridley Scott's newest epic, a retelling of the biblical Moses story starring Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton. It's called Exodus: Gods and Kings, and it hits theaters on December 20th. After that, Scott has an extensive list of projects to choose from, with such movies as Prometheus 2, a Blade Runner sequel/prequel, a film about football concussions, and The Martian, starring Matt Damon. Never one to clear his schedule
before adding more to it, Scott has announced that his next endeavor will be another biblical epic, this time based on the Old Testament hero King David, who famously slayed Goliath. Written by Blood Mountain scribe Jonathan Stokes, the film will follow David in his time as King of Israel after slaying Goliath. With so many films on his resume already, it's unclear whether Scott will direct the film, or if he's merely on board in a producing capacity.
