10. Hannibal Renewed For Third Season

Good news, Fannibals! You can stop biting those nails, because NBC has officially renewed Hannibal for a third season! The acclaimed serial killer thriller ran the risk of cancellation (for the second year in a row) due to its tough Friday night time slot and less-than-stellar ratings, but Variety reports that the show's rabid fanbase and international appeal helped push it over the edge for renewal. Creator Bryan Fuller chimed in last week assuring fans that he was confident of this news, but it's still relieving to hear it from the network. Now we're just left to wonder what new directions the show will go in, or if Fuller will dive deeper into the source material, Thomas Harris' Red Dragon, or beyond into the other novels (like Silence of the Lambs). As for the network's other bubble shows, Revolution and Parenthood, there have been no announcements yet. Revolution is likely to get cancelled, while Parenthood will probably get the greenlight for one final season.
