10 Biggest Movie And TV News This Week (Oct 5)

5. Zombieland 2 Is Back On Track!

It's been a long time since we heard anything about a Zombieland sequel, and honestly after the trainwreck that was the Amazon original series, we never thought the franchise would come back from the dead. Luckily, it has, and original director Ruben Fleischer is back on board to helm the sequel along with a new writer for the project: Expendables scribe Dave Callaham. Deadline broke the news earlier this week, and cited that they were unsure if the original cast members would return. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin have all become even bigger stars since Zombieland came out in 2009, so getting them to commit to the project may be tricky. However, it IS possible for the sequel to follow a new group of characters, so even if they don't come back that's not the end of the world. We would like to see Bill Murray come back as a zombie though. Now THAT would be awesome!
