10 Biggest Movie And TV News This Week (Sept 21)

1. Deadpool Movie Finally Gets A Release Date!

After years of waiting, Deadpool fans have finally been granted their wish: The Merc with a Mouth is finally getting his own movie! Not only that, but Fox has already given it a release date, for February 12th, 2016. The project is described as an X-Men spin-off, and will be helmed by Tim Miller, who directed the incredible test footage that leaked a few months back and sent the fanboy community wildly clamoring for a feature film. A script, written by Zombieland's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, has been sitting on the shelf for a few years, the studio timid to give the risky property a green light. Ryan Reynolds has been set to star in the film following his part in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but according to THR there is no deal currently set. Despite the character's dark and twisted nature, there's little chance the project will land an R-rating, which is bound to disappoint some die hard fans. Still, we've seen that you can pull off dark material quite well with a PG-13, and frankly we're just happy to see the film finally come to fruition to worry about how many F-bombs Deadpool will be able to drop on the big screen. That's it for this week, folks! Tell us, are you happy we're finally getting a Deadpool movie? Or is the PG-13 rating a deal breaker for you? How about a Supergirl TV series, another Matt Damon Bourne movie, or a Suicide Squad film?
