3. Bryan Singer Confirmed To Direct X-Men: Apocalypse

While we've long expected that Bryan Singer would return to the X-Men franchise once again after this year's Days of Future Past to helm its upcoming sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse, the director's recent legal trouble threatened to take the project away from him. This week, however, Singer finally officially signed on for the film, which marks his fourth outing with the beloved mutants. He'll direct from a script by Simon Kinberg, and the film will focus mainly on the First Class version of the cast, which includes Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and of course Hugh Jackman. With Singer now officially on board, he will likely begin prepping the film soon, and begin filming early next year to meet the film's May 27th, 2016 release date.
