3. Fantastic Beasts - What Did Grindelwald's Last Words Mean?

Johnny Depp didn't get a lot of screen time in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but it was just enough to conjure up the movie's biggest mystery.

"Will we die, just a little?" The newly-unmasked Grindelwald tells Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander before being carted off by the wizarding authorities. It's a nonsensical statement, but you can bet you bottom Galleon there's some underlying meaning in there that will come to light in a future chapter.

Is this some kind of veiled reference to the Deathly Hallows, which we know Grindelwald is seeking at this point, or could it be a coded message the villain knows Newt will pass on to his arch-enemy Dumbledore?

There's also the possibility that it's a complex anagram, which would be very JK Rowling, although they don't work quite so well on the screen as they do on the page.

Hopefully Fantastic Beasts 2 will pull some clarity out of the hat when it comes out next November.
