10 Biggest Problems Star Wars: Rogue One Faces (And How Lucasfilm Can Fix Them)
3. The Young Han Solo And Hayden Christensen Rumours
The Problem: If there's one more thing you don't want in a Star Wars prequel it's forced cameos that don't belong; C-3PO: Son of Vader, clone Boba Fett and Yoda's buddy Chewbacca taught us that lesson well enough. With that in mind, Vader's a perfect fit given his prominence in the Empire, but some rumours got fans less than excited.
Most prominently was the suggestion that the reshoots were partly be to accommodate Alden Ehrenreich's young Han Solo for a continuity-busting cameo, something that's cool enough but rather baity, although that pales in aggravating comparison to allegations Hayden Christensen would factor into the film in some form, most probably as an under-the-mask Vader. Shockingly, nobody really wants that.
How They Can Fix It: By flat-out denying it, which is exactly what producer Kathleen Kennedy and Gareth Edwards have done; at Star Wars Celebration both willingly shot down the rumours, stating Han Solo is definitely not in the film and that Hayden hasn't come near it. Phew. Let's hope that's the end of this.
Although, on that note, don't be surprised if those Christensen rumours return next year following early rumblings he may appear in Episode VIII.
