4. We Got Our First Look At The Cast Of Star Wars: Rogue One
Disney offered up a proper look at Star Wars: Rogue One, the first of the anthology flicks. The still unveiled shows a number of the core cast gearing up to take on the Empire, and boy, do the visuals look washed out. The image confirms that Rogue One will probably be the most realist Star Wars film yet, detaching itself from the mythical lore for a straight up heist mission. In it a group of Rebel spies (or maybe Bounty Hunters) must infiltrate the Death Star and steal documentation to help them destroy the space station. The tone of the image is icy and pretty darn serious, with a raft of hardware packed around the fringes. I assume this is the gear that's going to be used during the mission, and I gotta say, it doesn't look totally fool-proof. We also got an official cast announcement. This cemented the participation of previously attached names like Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn and Diego Luna with newcomers including Forrest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk and the inimitable Mads Mikkelsen. That's quite a crew. Star Wars: Rogue One will open worldwide on the 16th December 2016.
