When it comes to Avengers 4, it wouldn't be inaccurate to call the entire movie one big rumour. It's hard to think of a single thing Marvel has confirmed about it, and while we have some intriguing set pictures to mull over, we're still wildly speculating about the film's basic premise.

There are several big rumours that have been swirling around the project for a while now - time travel, a time jump, BARF - and one of the most compelling (and one that has a somewhat reliable source behind it) is that Avengers 4 will find Tony trying to assemble his own Infinity Gauntlet.

A deleted 4chan thread (the remnants of which have been collected on Reddit), posted by a user who claimed to have inside knowledge, provided a miniature plot synopsis for the film which explains how Tony goes about crafting his own Gauntlet:

"Iron Man reassembles the Avengers and decides to build his own Infinity Gauntlet to undo everything that Thanos did. They recruit Ant-Man to help them travel through time and space using the Quantum Real to retrieve the Infinity Stones from different time periods. Thanos finds out about their plans and becomes hellbent on stopping them."

This source is "somewhat" reliable, because this same person leaked accurate information about Infinity War well before its release, including the return of Red Skull and the death of Gamora. Regardless, this is just a rumour, and - as with every other entry on this list - don't get your hopes up for it to happen!
