Green Lantern is widely regarded as one of the worst comic book movies ever made, something that star Ryan Reynolds has reiterated countless times, and you'd think that atoning for those sins would make a reboot one of the DCEU's top priorities.

Green Lantern Corps was first announced in October 2014, with the studio initially describing the project as 'Lethal Weapon in space'. David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Geoff Johns all took a crack at the script at one stage to try and hit the intended July 2020 release date, but nothing ever came of it.

A member of the Corps was rumored to make a cameo appearance in Justice League, while a post-credits scene was shot that featured Kilowog and Tomar-Re showing up at Bruce Wayne's home, but never made it into the final cut. So far, the only involvement that any of the Green Lanterns have had in the DCEU was a fleeting glimpse during Justice League's flashback to Steppenwolf's initial battle over the Mother Boxes.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
