10 Billie Piper Performances You Have To See

10. Things To Do Before You're 30

At the same time Billie was becoming an honorary household name for her praised portrayal of the Doctor's new time travelling sidekick, she was also attempting to establish herself on the big screen and one of her first leading movie roles came to a cinema near you in 2006 in a romcom which basically does what it says on the tin. To be honest, you probably missed it. The former pop princess takes on the role of Vicky in the widely disregarded Brit flick but it's a nice piece of fluff if you're a fan of this sort of thing. Which, apparently, some people are. The story follows a group of 20-something friends who basically spend a desperate 101 minutes trying to cling on to their youth. As you can imagine, Billie and her gal pals embark on all sorts of shenanigans amidst overriding themes of friendship and growing up as the inevitable responsibilities of adulthood threaten to tear them in different directions. Try to approach it with an open mind and don't be persuaded by the far from impressed reviewer who described it as "a charmless film full of gender clichés and lumpen dialogue". At least, not until you've seen it for yourself.
