You never knew what era Billie was going to pop up in next during her two year tenure aboard the TARDIS so it's no surprise that the allure of time travel has continued to persuade her throughout her post-Doctor Who endeavours. After bidding the Tenth Doctor farewell on the shores of Bad Wolf Bay (still not over it!), the Rose Tyler star returned to the small screen in 2007 - albeit it on a different channel - when she helmed an acclaimed adaptation of Mansfield Park as part of ITV's Jane Austen Season. If you're not familiar with the classic novel, it depicts the story of a young girl, Fanny Price, who is sent away to live with her wealthy relatives at their posh estate. At the age of 18 (which is where Billie comes in), she falls in love with her sensitive cousin but her feelings prevent her from accepting a marriage proposal from a much wealthier suitor. We've all been there.
