10 Blatant Fan Service Movie Moments

7. Knightmare - Batman V Superman

While the Dark Knight Returns mech suit is a rather blatant bit of fan service, at least the film takes some time to try and build up to it. However, this scene comes out of nowhere.

At one point in the film, Bruce Wayne falls asleep. Or does he? He dreams a large city, destroyed in the distance. He sees the Omega symbol, the sigil of Darkseid, a Big Bad from the comics, emblazoned in the ground.

And then he shoots a bunch of stuff, before Superman comes and screams at him.

Oh, but it's not over yet. See, he "wakes up" and sees The Flash - who he hasn't met yet - trying to come back through time to warn Batman, to tell him the key to saving the future. And then Batman wakes up for real. All of it was a dream... or was it?

It's a ridiculous scene that is designed to do nothing except for show Batman in a cool new costume, shooting stuff, while the Omega symbol burns in the background. It's supposedly a prophecy, except this prophecy is never brought back.

The scene is over and we've all wasted ten minutes of our lives that we'll never get back again watching Batman in Black Hawk Down.
