10 Blockbuster Leading Men So Boring They Almost Put Us To Sleep

10. Logan Lerman

Boring Blockbusters: Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), The Three Musketeers (2011), Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) At the age of just 22, Logan Lerman has already built up a solid filmography. Since making his debut as one of Mel Gibson's children in The Patriot, the actor has impressed in the likes of 3:10 to Yuma, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Noah. However, as a blockbuster leading man his performances have failed to match his supporting roles in terms of quality. In the first Percy Jackson movie, Lerman's limitations are exposed when sharing the screen with the big names in supporting roles (Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Rosario Dawson and the like) and the young actor fails to stand out amongst the CGI and extended ensemble. The sequel offers much of the same albeit on a slightly lower budget, featuring little character development (surely a prerequisite for a sequel?) and another flat performance from the usually-likeable actor. In Paul W.S Anderson's preposterous (and very loose) $75m adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic, Lerman's D'Artagnan is the only character in the movie with an American accent, and for some reason the actor decides to play the character as irredeemably smug, failing to bring any charm or personality to the role and being easily overshadowed by the rampant scenery-chewing from the rest of the cast.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
