10 Blooper Reels That Are Better Than The Actual Movie
7. A Bug's Life
This is a ‘blooper reel’ not exactly like the rest on this list. At the end of A Bug’s Life in 1998, the end credits showed a wonderful montage of the animated characters forgetting lines, laughing during the serious scenes, and generally having fun around the camera.
There are a few different hallmarks of a great Pixar movie, namely the often flawless animation, the humour, and of course the heart-wrenching emotion. A Bug’s Life didn’t exactly tick every one of these boxes, and is largely viewed as one of the weaker movies Pixar has released over the years.
There wasn’t nearly the same kind of heart in the movie as the likes of Toy Story, Wall-E, or Inside Out, and arguably the funniest part of the entire thing was the blooper reel at the end.
Still, this was something completely different, and certainly sent audiences home happy. As just the second release under the Pixar umbrella, there were even a couple of Toy Story references, from Flick shouting Buzz Lightyear’s iconic line, to Woody himself turning up with a marker. Cinematic universes existed long before Tony Stark and Nick Fury.
