10 Bold Predictions For Future DC Movies

2. Suicide Squad 2 Will Re-Introduce Two-Face, And Finally Get Him Right

This one is really rather important. Batman, as we all know, has the greatest line-up of adversaries in comic book history, and Two-Face is one of the very best. In some respects, he's an even more fascinating character than The Joker. Despite this, the movies have never yet done him justice. Tommy Lee Jones barely concealed his apathy on taking the role in Batman Forever, but then Akiva Goldsman's script did him no favours, treating the complex, conflicted villain as nothing more than a two-dimensional retread of Jack Nicholson's Joker; either way, the character all but disappeared in the shadow of Jim Carrey's Riddler. Things were rather better for Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight, but he spent more time as Harvey Dent, got killed off too soon, and was relegated to second place behind Heath Ledger's Joker. Speaking of The Joker... forget about Jared Leto. No matter what he does, that role has already been played to perfection, and any new interpretation will always be mentioned in comparison to its predecessors. With Two-Face, there's a genuine chance to finally get the character just right, and where better to do that than in the Suicide Squad sequel? They're bad guys fighting for the cause of good; he's a good man compelled toward the side of evil. It's not hard to see a correlation there. Unless Two-Face instead becomes the main villain of Ben Affleck's Batman solo movie, which would also be a tantalising prospect. That having been said...
