Its apt that New York born Barbara Bach had to adopt an accent for her role in The Spy Who Loved Me, because in the majority of her film roles she was acting against a range of international actors. Unfailingly cast as the screaming female in Italian rip-offs of Jaws (The Great Alligator), The Island Of Dr Moreau (Island Of The Fishmen) and Star Wars (The Humanoid), she still appeared alongside the likes of Richard Johnson, Joseph Cotton and Mel Ferrer.
