10 Brilliant Movie Villains Defeated In The DUMBEST Way Possible

3. Snoke - Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Supreme Commander Snoke serves as the overarching villain in the latest Star Wars trilogy. As Kylo Ren takes centre-stage to wipe out rebel forces, Snoke works from behind the shadows.

The enigmatic sith may have only appeared as a hologram in The Force Awakens but it was enough to make fans speculate like crazy about his origin. Is he Darth Plagueis? What happened to his face? Where did he require his power?

And with Snoke playing a bigger role in The Last Jedi, surely some light would be shed about The First Order's leader.

Or so we assumed. While taunting Rey, Kylo Ren realises Snoke is manipulating him and turns on his master, killing him with a lightsaber.

Although this moment was meant to be shocking (and it was), it was the wrong decision. At the time of his death, we knew the same amount about Snoke as when the character was introduced; nothing. The filmmakers created an intriguing and tantalising character and then threw him away for shock value.

The fact that he was retconned as nothing more than "a clone of Palpatine" in The Rise of Skywalker" makes Snoke all the more disappointing
