In the Kill Bill duology, The Bride is on a quest for vengeance against her former lover, Bill, after he left her for dead. But before she can reach Bill, The Bride needs to take out all four members of his hit squad.

One member, O-Ren Ishii, is a Yakuza leader with an elite squad called The Crazy 88. Kill Bill Vol. 1 concludes with Uma Thurman's character facing off against this army single-handedly.

This brawl is masterfully shot, edited and choreographed. It goes on for a whopping nine minutes (not including the lead character's face-off with Gogo, the flunkies, or O-Ren herself). If this is the climax for the first film, you'd assume the final battle in the sequel will be one of for the ages.

Or so you would assume. Despite Bill and The Bride's showdown being built up for over four hours, their confrontation lasts a measly 16 seconds. After a few sword swipes, The Bride performs a death move, fatally wounding her ex-partner.

What makes this "fight" more annoying is its common-knowledge that the actor portraying Bill, David Carradine, was an excellent sword fighter and hand-to-hand combatant so viewers were expecting a sensational battle that never came to be.
