7. Johnny B. Goode Back To The Future
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1i5coU-0_Q Another impressive on-stage performance is delivered by Michael J Fox's Marty Mcfly in the 1985 science fiction film Back to the Future. The film sees Marty transported back to 1955, and in the final act of the story he goes onstage at the Enchantment Under The Sea dance. Taking over the guitar and vocals from Marvin Berry (apparently Chuck Berry's cousin), Marty leads the swing band on an impressive, high-tempo rendition of the 'oldie' hit Johnny B. Goode. Marty's guitar playing, singing and dancing are a highlight of the film, and the humour of the scene comes when Marty gets carried away with the song. Kicking over the amps, and shocking the rest of the band, he dives into a guitar solo of distorted power chords and licks, playing the guitar behind his head sliding to his knees on the floor. "I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet," he says, "But your kids are gonna love it!"

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
