10 British Actors (Who Weren't In Harry Potter) That Should Be In Fantastic Beasts

2. Mark Strong

If his inclusion in the British Villains ad for Jaguar with Ben Kingsley and Tom Hiddleston didn't make it clear, Mark Strong generally gets cast as bad guys and for good reason: he's really great at it. His appearance and attitude make him a perfect fit for a villainous role, as his performances in Sherlock Holmes and Kick-Ass have shown. Even when in a weaker film like Green Lantern or John Carter, Strong's chops as an intimidating presence shine through even the roughest material.

But Strong shouldn't be typecast, as he has shown an ability to play noble figures too. Just take a look at Kingsman: The Secret Service and you can see him there as a strict but jovial character working for the greater good. Either way, Strong is exactly the right kind of character actor Fantastic Beasts could use.

As great as Strong has been at playing a villain, and if he was cast as one there'd be little reason to complain, but giving him a shot as a heroic character in a franchise as big as the Wizarding World would be a great way to break that typecasting for him. He doesn't have to be a complete goody-two-shoes but, as a threatening-but-good-natured ally in the vein of Mad-Eye Moody, Strong would thrive.
