3. Rosamund Pike

Rosamund Pike began her career as part of one of the biggest movie franchises: the 007 flick Die Another Day, where she played the traitorous Bond girl Miranda Frost. But Pike's career has only continued to grow, landing notable supporting roles in Pride & Prejudice and An Education, before truly cementing herself as a leading actress with her chilling, Oscar-nominated performance in David Fincher's Gone Girl.

In the midst of all those prestige films, Pike did take on numerous roles in franchise pictures, but they were all one-off parts that didn't go anywhere. Sequels Johnny English Reborn and Wrath of the Titans didn't end up going beyond those second instalments, and she had no role in the Jack Reacher series past the first film. The closest she's gotten was being in The World's End, but even then that's an anthology series with no recurring characters and The World's End was always intended to be the final chapter.

Pike deserves a recurring franchise role that's going to last, and it's not like the Potter series hasn't noticed her before. She had previously been offered a role in the franchise before, that being the role of Rita Skeeter in Goblet of Fire, but turned it down to do Pride & Prejudice instead. Now that she's a bigger star than she was twelve years ago, perhaps a meatier role could be on the horizon for her.
