5. Chris Barrie - Tomb Raider
Paramount PicturesAt the time of it's release, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider set the record for the highest grossing action film with a female lead, and two years later came the inevitable sequel, The Cradle of Life. Now, some 13 years later, it is merely just another entry on the list of computer game adaptations that were essentially disposable (the reboot is already being planned, often linked with Megan Fox). Not even co-star Daniel Craig's casting as James Bond, or villain Iain Glen's regular role of Ser Jorah Mormont in Game Of Thrones, has been able to unearth it from obscurity. As such, Chris Barrie's performances (he also returned for the sequel) as butler Hillary have also been left by the wayside by his iconic role of Arnold Judas Rimmer. If the video for Little Mix's Word Up is anything to go by, even cult classic Gordan Brittas still holds a bigger place in the public conscious. That said however, his performance should not be neglected outright. Whilst hardly the most challenging job ever faced by an actor, it does give audiences a rare glimpse of him not portraying characteristics such as arrogance and cowardliness that made his two most famous roles so loveable. There is still that edge of pomposity in there though...
