10 Brits You Never Realised Were In Pixar Films

3. Emma Thompson & Julie Walters

Just because Brave is set entirely in Scotland it does not mean that many of its impressive cast members didn't come from south of the border. Two in particular, who also had a similar rise to fame, and who used their well honed talents to affect a Scottish accent, are Emma Thompson and Julie Walters. Portraying Queen Elinor and the mysterious woodcarver/witch respectively, by adding a Scottish tilt to their versatile voices, they essentially make themselves unrecognisable to anyone who would not have already been aware of their casting. Something even more impressive when you consider how many well loved films they have been in between them. Not just British classics Love, Actually, and Educating Rita, but both also appeared in multiple Harry Potter films. Despite now being praised for their dramatic roles, they also both came from a largely comic background. Not only did Walters collaborate with Victoria Wood on many projects, but Thompson was also a member of Cambridge's iconic Footlights group, working with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie among others.
