10 Bruce Willis Movies That Were Basically Die Hard Sequels

2. Surrogates (A Good Day To Time Travel)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGwQ74cH5O0 Ok, here's where things get really ridiculous, but try to stay with me. Surrogates may be a science fiction film about a future where people use android replicants to live their lives (neurologically controlling them from the safety of their homes), but that doesn't mean it can't be a spec sci-fi sequel of what John McClane might get up to in the near-future. Think of it like a comic book "What If?" scenario, which is all the more convincing given the Die Hard tropes that do creep their way in. Once again, he plays a cop, an FBI agent named Tom Greer, and once again, he's enduring a troubled relationship with his wife, Maggie (Rosamund Pike). Furthermore, perhaps most reminiscent of Live Free or Die Hard, he's a remnant of the old guard stuck in a world he doesn't really understand or want to understand; technology is key. Once he gets rid of that ridiculous surrogate hair-piece, Willis flies right back into old-school badass mode, and crafts a light, mostly enjoyable sci-fi romp. We imagine this is exactly how a futuristic McClane would conduct himself.
