10 Characters Emily Blunt Could Be Playing In The MCU

Star is one intriguing possibility for the Captain Marvel sequel but if Marvel Studios is looking to take things down a slightly more traditional route, Moonstone is perhaps a much better choice. After all, rumour has it that the Thunderbolts are coming to the MCU in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, so this character's introduction could tie into a number of different franchises.

Karla Sofen was imbued with the power of a Kree gravity stone and that makes her more than capable of pushing Carol Danvers to her limits. With abilities derived from Kree tech and a similar powerset to Captain Marvel, Moonstone seems like a perfect fit for the sequel and could later appear in a Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers movie.

Blunt has the right physical appearance for Moonstone and The Devil Wears Prada's Emily Charlton is definitely a past role she would want to look back on to bring the spiteful and nasty Karla Sofen to life on screen. Marvel Studios is no doubt well aware of how much fans wanted to see Blunt as Captain Marvel so having her play a villainous version would be a unique play on that.
